Christmas 2023

The people of the Greenbrier community are celebrating this first free Christmas or Solstice (Hanukkah's already been and gone this December, and Eid was much earlier in the year) with a great deal of enthusiasm, not the least of which is because their children are starting to be old enough to realize something is unusual about the day. The Vance-Freeman family, however, will not be marking the day with the rest of White Sulfur Springs' population. Gordon has been wanting to visit his niece who's back in Rowlesburg. Shephard declared himself only too happy to assist with any such travels and visitations as soon as he heard about it.

It's a good thing the Cheat is reasonably deep near the Rowlesburg cave system. Even with people living on the surface more and more these days, until the roads are rebuilt and cleared, they're still going to need to use the Borealis to get where they're going.
